Browse my new Nature & Gardening Books page for listings of books I've found helpful in my woodland project. There are some great books on gardening with native plants, plus field guides to wildflowers and trees.

Most of the flowers pictured on these pages have bloomed this year in my little woods or my tiny shade garden, which I use as a sort of nursery for new plants until I decide where they might be most likely to thrive in the woods. Naturalized and non-native species are marked with an asterisk (*).
